The owner of an East New York day care facility is denying allegations that a volunteer working for her was arrested for sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy. 

Manathis Anderson, 63, is accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old boy over the pants on five different occasions in the last month at the Heavenly Miracle Academy, according to police.

Officials say Anderson worked as a volunteer tutor and that he is facing several charges including felony sex abuse and sexual contact with a child. 

Owner Jacqueline Mendoza disputes the accusations saying, "I take care of my children and all I know is Jesus. Don't ask me any other question because I don't have any other answers, I'm so mad," she commented, "I don't know anything I have no answers, speak to authorities."



The day care also has an 80 percent violation rate with the New York City Health Department. 

Additional reports suggest the company has failed to conduct proper background checks on workers.

A spokesperson for the Health Department says it will take all the necessary steps of protecting the children.
