Many East New York residents are excited as a new Key Food celebrated its grand opening Friday morning.
The Key Food is located at 340 Pennsylvania Ave., and one community leader says it's the only grocery store in the area.
"This is something they wanted and something they needed," Winchester Key says.
The new supermarket also brings new jobs to the area. Key Food filled most of their 65 available positions with residents who live in the neighborhood.
