Espada, son facing new charges

Embattled former state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr. and his son are facing new corruption charges for allegedly lying about their incomes and profits at their federally funded health care clinic in Soundview.

Embattled former state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr. and his son are facing new corruption charges for allegedly lying about their incomes and profits at their federally funded health care clinic in Soundview.
Espada denied the new allegations in an interview with News 12 The Bronx's Ray Raimundi and said he is looking forward to his day in court.
The father and son are to be arraigned on the new charges next week. Jury selection for their trial is scheduled to begin March 12.
