Former state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr. and his son were arraigned today on new corruption charges.
Espada and his son are now accused of lying about income and profits from Soundview Health Care, their federally funded health care clinic in the Bronx. The indictment adds two counts to the previous case.
The pair has already pleaded not guilty to charges they embezzled more than $500,000 from the clinic.
