An e-bike delivery gone wrong has left one East New York man out of hundreds of dollars and the e-bike he was supposed to receive.
Anthony Morene ordered an e-bike off Amazon in the summer and after waiting over 30 days for it to arrive, realized it never did. He never received an alert from Amazon that it had been dropped off or from FedEx, which Morene says oversaw delivering the package.
“They could ring a bell and a person would have came down,” said Morene. “I tried to contact FedEx and then I got pushed to Amazon… they tell me FedEx delivered it.”
Morene reached out to Amazon himself, which initially told him to file a police report. He took the trip from his home to NYPD headquarters in Lower Manhattan, and now with a report on file, he still hasn’t seen a single cent back and is worried he’s getting the runaround.
Morene says that Amazon has told him they see no fault of their own in this incident, and that he is still holding out hope for a refund in time for the holidays.
News 12 has reached out to Amazon for a statement on the matter and is awaiting a response.
