Darren Aronofsky, who is now an Academy Award-nominated director, was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame at the Mark Twain School for the Gifted and Talented.
Aronofsky, who graduated in 1983, credits his seventh-grade teacher for inspiring his creative writing.
He has directed a number of noteworthy movies, including "Requiem for a Dream" and "Noah".
