The family of a hit-and-run victim is urging whoever fatally struck their loved one to surrender to police. Relatives and friends of 26-year-old Jermaine Elliot gathered at a Bronxwood funeral home Thursday to pay their respects to him. Elliot was struck and killed at the intersection of East 233rd Street and Barnes Avenue last week. Police say he was hit by a white box truck that didn't stop at the scene. Relatives say Elliot's mother, Marva, is battling cancer and is overwhelmed with grief because of the sudden loss of her son.
