Fans poured into Yankee Stadium today to watch two world-renowned teams face off against each other. But it wasn't the Bronx Bombers they were cheering for; instead the stadium was transformed into a soccer pitch for a game between two top European teams, Real Madrid and A.C. Milan.
The match was the second soccer game ever hosted in the stadium.
Vendors around the stadium even got into the soccer spirit, putting away the Yankees jersey and putting up soccer jerseys for fans headed to the stadium.
When it was all said and done, Real Madrid routed A.C. Milan 5-1 behind the foot Cristiano Ronaldo who scored a pair of goals.
