Parents and students are rallying in Brooklyn ahead of a Panel for Educational Policy vote on the future of several local schools.
Education officials will be at Prospect Heights High School tonight to decide whether to close or phase out a total of 26 schools throughout the city, but many say they aren't taking the vote sitting down.
Protesters calling themselves "Students for Bloomberg" plan to march with "We are the 13 percent" T-shirts and signs claiming that about 13 percent of black and Latino students are not prepared for college under Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration.
