5h agoA mother and daughter in Sunset Park tell News 12 they feel like they have to start from scratch following a late night apartment fire.
According to the FDNY, they received the call at 11:10 p.m. for a fire at 4920 5th Ave. and took about an hour to get the fire under control. The mother and daughter, who lived on the third floor, were injured due to the fire.
The mother told News 12 without the help of the FDNY, her and her daughter would not be alive.
Both are safe and out of the hospital, but now the journey to rebuilding their home begins.
