A fire Saturday night completely destroyed a house on Snyder Avenue in Flatbush.

Fire officials say they received word of the fire shortly after 7 p.m. and declared it a two-alarm blaze within ten minutes. The chief on the scene says the blaze began in the basement. One person was taken to the hospital and several fire fighters were treated for minor burns.

Officials say they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
