Fire guts Morrisania mosque

A massive fire ravaged a mosque in Morrisania Thursday night, forcing the congregation to pray in the street during the final days of Ramadan.
Officials say the fire broke out inside a grocery store on East 166th Street and spread to the nearby Futa Cultural Center, gutting the building.
Members of the mosque who were gathered in the vestibule when the fire broke out managed to exit safely. However, four firefighters sustained minor injuries.
