Festivities for the "First Thursday Art Walk" in DUMBO were held Thursday.

The event, which is held on the first Thursday of every month, highlights art and fun things to do in the area. It is hosted by Two Trees Management Co. and the DUMBO Improvement District.

There are a total of 10 exhibitions and events along the art walk including workshops, artist discussions and live performances. Many of the local galleries, bars and restaurants are staying open late to welcome visitors and host special events.

Gallery owners say the event is a way to showcase the world-renowned art DUMBO has to offer.
