Flatbush barber killed in crash
The Flatbush community is mourning the death of a local barber who was struck by a cab and killed Monday night.
Keith "Tickey" Thompson, 38, was closing his barbershop at 789 Rogers Ave. when a car accident sent a livery cab careening onto the sidewalk, fatally striking him.
Friends who gathered at Thompson's barbershop Tuesday described him as a respected member of the community and a loving father.
Thompson is survived by his wife and three children. The two drivers who were involved in the accident are expected to recover and will not be charged in Thompson's death.
