Fire officials are investigating what they're calling a suspicious early-morning fire in East Flatbush that has displaced several families.
The fire started at around 4:30 a.m. at 2802 Clarendon Road, just a few blocks off of Flatbush Avenue.
Fire officials say flames ignited in the basement of the four-story building and burned through two apartments on the first floor before being put out by firefighters.
No one was harmed in the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the two families whose homes were completely destroyed.
