Fordham University held a memorial Mass today for the victims of Sunday's Bronx River Parkway crash.
Two of the seven victims, Maria Gonzalez and Maria Nunez, worked in the university's custodial services department. Gonzalez, Nunez, their parents, and the two women's children died after the SUV they were riding in clipped a median, jumped a guard rail and plunged about 60 feet into a wooded area of the Bronx Zoo.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday at St. Raymond's Church for Gonzalez, Nunez and the three children. The remains of the women's parents will be returned to the Dominican Republic for burial.
