Pelham Bay residents are fighting back against a growing graffiti problem in their neighborhood. Sen. Jeffrey Klein (D-34th District) today kicked off the graffiti removal program in Pelham Bay. The program was suspended two years ago because of a lack of funding, but Klein was able to secure $150,000 in state funds to revive it. Graffiti will be washed away and painted over in the area starting this weekend, and the program will run for about two years.Residents who want to report graffiti to be removed are asked to call Klein's office at 718-822-2049.
