An organization dedicated to helping students at risk of dropping out held their annual ‘Show Up’ performance.
EnACT is an organization dedicated to using arts and theater programs to helps improve students social-emotional skills and academic performance.
Organizers say they bring in professional actors and work with the students real life issues to learn about their obstacles and the reasons why they aren't showing up for school.
Throughout the 10th annual end of the year performance students acted out some of the challenges they've been facing such as bullying, peer pressure and violence.
It was a chance for them to express themselves in front of friends, teachers and family, while also celebrating their resiliency.
Several of the students told News 12 that enACT helped them turn their lives around.
