Today marks the 22nd day of February, or 2/22/22, and many people across social media have coined the special day as "twosday."
Long Island residents have found many different ways to celebrate the day of two.
Kim Russo, known as “The Happy Medium,” says the twos are powerful numbers. They represent balance and new beginnings.
“This is a great time for any manifestation,” says Russo.
Tuesdays are not usually a popular day of the week to get married, but today is an exception. Hempstead Town Clerk Kate Murray presided over 22 weddings at the Old Courtroom at the Hempstead Town Hall.
Bronx residents, Jasmine and Shamarl Wilson, say they’ve been together for quite a while.
“Never quite settled on a date until 2/22/22 came up,” says Wilson.
Doreen Fairweather, of Far Rockaway, gave birth to twin girls at Catholic Health’s Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre.
“I’m so excited,” says Fairweather. “I just had twins today 2/22/22. I can’t wait to go home.”
Restaurants are expecting to be busy for “Taco Tuesday” and “National Margarita Day.” Jose Reyes at the Besito Mexican Resturant says they already have a little over 100 reservations.
“It’s going to feel like a mini Saturday night here tonight,” says Reyes.
