We are heading into the weekend and with the weather being nice, we have some fun ideas to get you out and about across Brooklyn!
The Brooklyn Children's Museum is turning Earth Day into a week-long celebration and it kicks off on Saturday. The museum's Earth Rocks! festival will feature fun and enriching steam-inspired workshop and performances. The themes are grow, sustain, care and explore. Any child 1 years old or younger is free to enter.
The New York City Department of Transportation is gearing up for their annual car-free Earth Day celebration on Saturday. It's all to cut down on emissions and it will be a city-wide event with 54 car-free streets and plazas from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Instead of driving, organizers want people to walk or bike to the event. You will even get free unlimited 30-minute rides by Citi bike if you use the promo code- carfree24.
The 10th Annual Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl begins April 20 and will last until April 27. It will include 25 independent bookstores across the borough, giveaways, special merchandise and much more at each bookstore.
If you visit at least five of the bookstores participating, you'll get a 25% coupon.
