A celebration was held in the Banknote Building in Hunts Point on Saturday to honor those who served in the military.

Veterans from the Bronx were invited to the Pa'lante Para Todos first-ever “Thankful For Our Veterans” celebration.

The night began with a presentation of colors followed by a POW and MIA ceremony.

Organizers say the event is a way to honor what veterans continue to do every day for their communities.

"It's commemorating the service that they continue to do throughout their lifetime, and our communities are really grateful," said event organizer Irene Soto.

After the ceremony, the night continued with a formal dinner and performances.
