Interfaith Medical Center is providing vision and dental screenings for teenagers in the borough.
Opthalmology and dental residents performed the screening for more than a dozen middle-school students as part of the hospital's I See You Smile program.
Teachers and students praised the program, saying that it is important to ensure good vision so it does not negatively affect academics.
Organizers say they hope to screen more than 300 students through the program by the end of the year.
