According to the IRS, one of the biggest scams includes dishonest tax preparers who illegally inflate clients? income to get them bigger tax returns. In return, the tax preparer would get a bigger percentage for his or her work.
Andrew Watson, of New York, is just one person to be convicted of committing tax fraud. He was sentenced to one year and one day in prison.
