Japanese culture is on full display at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.

Sakura Matsuri, or the Cherry Blossom Festival, is a longstanding tradition that brings in thousands of visitors to the borough.

It is a celebration of all things Japanese and beyond. The festival features musical performances, Japanese sword fighting and even cos-play of Japanese video game characters.

Sakura Matsuri celebrates traditional and contemporary Japanese culture under the beauty of the cherry blossoms in full bloom for 38 years.

The Cherry Blossom Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
