Jennifer Lopez is getting backlash on social media after releasing a collaborative single with Maluma called “Lonely.”

The lyrics of the song say, “Yo siempre seré tu negrita del Bronx,” which directly translates to “I will always be your Black girl from The Bronx.”

The term “negrita” is used in Hispanic and Latin American culture as a term of endearment, but many took to Twitter calling out the Bronx native for culture appropriation.
