The jury says it's deadlocked in the corruption case against former Bronx state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr.
Federal Judge Frederick Block is issuing an Allen charge, or a formal statement urging the jury to listen to each other and try to reach a consensus. The judge already had to meet with the jury last week after one juror was accused of refusing to deliberate.
Espada and his son are accused of embezzling at least $500,000 from their non-profit Soundview Healthcare Network. Both have maintained their innocence.
