NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly visited Crown Heights for a second time Wednesday to reaffirm calm in the area after a period of unrest.
Community leaders say they feel reassured by the city?s response to two recent violent incidents.
Andrew Charles was allegedly attacked last month by a group of Jewish men as he was walking down Carroll Street.
Alon Sherman was allegedly beaten and robbed by two black teens earlier this month.
Jewish leaders in Crown Heights say the problems have less to do with race and more to do with crime.
Charles recently held a news conference in which he echoed those sentiments.
