Some children and teens in East New York got to go on a special holiday shopping spree at Target with the NYPD.

It's part of a collaboration between the community organization Holidays with Heroes and the NYPD Explorer Program.

The program focuses on teaching students the importance of higher education, self-discipline and respect for others.

The kids got $200 to make their holidays a little more special.

The kids say this program is a great way to get to know the police officers in the area.
