Brooklyn students and residents gathered Sunday to participate in the annual Three Kings Day parade in Williamsburg.
The parade is a celebration of faith and tradition for many Latin residents in the borough. The event honors the biblical story of the Epiphany. This year, the Juana Diaz Kings flew in from Puerto Rico to participate in the parade.
Organizers say more than 4,000 Brooklyn students participated this year. They say the main purpose of the event is to promote tradition and culture. Each year the parade features music, dancing and dozens of floats.
