A beloved Kensington pizzeria celebrated a big anniversary Sunday and gave out free slices to mark the occasion.
Korner Pizzeria gave out hundreds of free slices to its customers to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Anthony Imurgia says his father Francesco Imurgia, a Sicilian immigrant, started the pizzeria in 1966.
With four generations of family having worked at the pizzeria, Imburgia's treats the neighborhood like family, too. One customer said during a blackout a few years back, the pizzeria stayed open all night to feed the entire neighborhood.
