Temperatures are finally becoming seasonably appropriate, and the foliage is expected to follow suit in the Bronx this weekend.

The red and gold leaves aren't yet popping at the New York Botanical Garden, but that's not uncommon for this time of year in the borough.

News 12 meteorologists say there are a couple factors needed to really see those fall colors. Those include cool, crisp nights without frost and sunny, seasonably cool days, as well as a rainy end to the summer season, which did happen.

The director at the garden's Thain Family Forest agrees that the 10-day forecast for the city is looking good for optimal leaf-changing weather.
