Frightening cellphone video captured one woman's real-life nightmare -- a major rat infestation in her kitchen.

Lisa Wiley says the rats were rampant in her kitchen. After making several calls to 311, and with the assistance of the Department of Health, she says they went to fix the issue on Friday.

Wiley says she had been waiting for days. She says it turns out that there was a massive hole behind her cabinets.

"They came in like a swarm of locusts and just devoured," said Wiley.

As News 12 was in the courtyard of her Sheridan Avenue apartment building, we spotted a big rat running across the grass. "It's ridiculous," said Wiley.

However, even though the hole is patched, she says she still feels unsafe in her apartment.

Wiley says she has been staying with a friend. "I'm displaced. I feel even though I do have an apartment I am basically, systematically, being forced to be homeless," said Wiley.
