A Bronx doctor received a lofty honor today, having been named one of the most compassionate doctors in the U.S. Dr. James Goodrich, who works in the Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center, was among the top 3 percent of physicians chosen across the nation. The selections were made based on hundreds of thousands of patient reviews. Goodrich has been employed by Montefiore for 27 years, and says he never wears a white coat to make children and families feel more at ease. He also keeps his office decorated with artifacts from around the world and has a large pile of stuffed animals for his patients.
