Loved ones mourn motorcyclist killed in alleged drunk driving incident

Friends and family came to mourn the life of a motorcyclist Thursday who lost his life last month.

Police say Evvon Alexander was killed in a car crash due to a drunk driver when he was turning onto Beverley Road from Ocean Parkway. He was only 28 years old.

He was described as a family man, leaving behind a 7-year-old girl and a baby boy that was born three weeks after he was killed.

Jasmin Morales-Cruz, 23, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and DWI in connection with the crash.

Alexander is set to be buried on Friday morning at Canarsie Cemetery.
