Tenants of a New York City Housing Authority building in Brownsville say that their mailboxes have been damaged for months and still haven't been fixed.
The busted mailboxes at the Van Dyke Houses have caused tenants to walk several blocks to their post office to get their mail instead, and wait in lengthy lines.
Residents say NYCHA started repairs three months ago, but never completed them despite complaints.
A NYCHA spokesperson responded to News 12, saying, "The mail bank is in the process of being replaced by a vendor, and should be installed before next week. We regret the inconvenience this has caused our residents."
