Make Music Day is an international celebration of live music that's held in over 120 countries every summer solstice, and Connecticut got in on the act this year.
Musicians offered free performances and music lessons in locations scattered around Stamford, Fairfield, Milford and Bridgeport.
In Stamford, Harman Audio presented what it calls a "Street Studio." Passers-by of all skill levels stopped and added to the music with keyboards, guitars, their voices and anything else they can bring to the table.
Organizers said they would have a finished song performed in collaboration with the whole city of Stamford by the end of the day.
