? A man is recovering in a Pennsylvania hospital after being exposed to anthrax at a storage space in Brooklyn.
City health officials believe Vado Diomande, 44, became infected while making drums from animal hides that he purchased on the Ivory Coast in December. Authorities say anthrax occurs naturally on some animal skins. Mayor Michael Bloomberg held a press conference Wednesday where he announced that the city was not under a terrorist threat.
Officials are searching a warehouse in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn where Diomande worked on his drums. Authorities say his family members may also be infected. Diomande became ill last week after performing at a Pennsylvania university.
