A Bushwick family has found its missing teenage boy with Down syndrome.
They say 15-year-old Joshua Cruz walked out of their home Wednesday morning and was missing for much of the day.
Family members say they worried because Cruz is also nonverbal and unable to communicate.
Cruz was found at a McDonald's in Canarsie and has been taken to Wyckoff Hospital for evaluation.
Reports from family members, witnesses and surveillance video obtained by police offer a glimpse of the teen's movements.
He snuck out of his house at around 9:30 a.m., passed by a bakery in the neighborhood, took the L train to Rockaway Parkway and went into a McDonald's, where someone spotted him.
