The MTA is ready for the nor’easter that is set to dump up to as much as 12 inches across the city.
MTA officials say they have put chains on buses to help with traction. They are also swapping out the longer buses with the shorter ones.
The MTA tells News 12 that there are nearly 220 miles of outdoor track throughout all five boroughs and they will be working hard to keep those outdoor tracks clear. Crews are already salting the platforms to make sure commuters stay safe.
Officials urge people to stay home and stay safe.
