As Kemar Brooks' family remembered him tonight at his wake, the Baychester community called for action to ensure the safety of those in the neighborhood.

Fourteen-year-old Brooks was found by his father last week, shot and killed near the tennis courts at Haffen Park. People in the community say they want additional security measures at the park, which currently has no closing time or gates that lock. They also want more security in the park after midnight.

Brooks' family attended the community meeting and his older brother says the call for extra security is a step in the right direction. The family is having a nine-night for Brooks tonight, a traditional Jamaican wake to celebrate his life.

No arrests have been made in Brooks' death and police are offering a reward of $22,000 for any information.
