A group of Muslims rallied outside police headquarters in Manhattan today in a show of support for the NYPD's counterterrorism efforts.
The American Islamic Leadership Coalition says the voices of moderate Muslims are not being heard and that they stand behind the police department's alleged secret monitoring of Muslims, which has sparked outrage from many people.
The group's leader was the narrator of "The Third Jihad," a controversial film about radical Islam that was shown to NYPD trainees in the past.
Monday's rally comes on the heels of a student protest on Wall Street this past Saturday.
