Neighbors told News 12 they saw a car drive into a pole on 6th Avenue and 68th Street at around on Tuesday morning.
The FDNY says they responded to the call and treated one person at the scene. They say the person did not go to the hospital for treatment and there were no other injuries.
News 12 got exclusive surveillance video of the accident. Neighbors say this isn't the first time this has happened, and the owner of the home has had to get her fences replaced twice already.
“A few of the neighbors came to help the couple that was in the car and my brother ended up coming later and we were just making sure that everybody was fine," said Xiomara Medrano, a neighbor and witness. "The police officers came, the firefighters came, they took the car out and towed the car, which is good. But it was very traumatizing to watch for sure.”
News 12 was told that it is a very dangerous intersection, where people drive faster than the speed limit.
No details related to the drivers have been released as of Tuesday evening.
