The Brooklyn Nets have reassigned general manager Billy King and appointed interim Head Coach Tony Brown says owner Mikhail Prokhorov during a news conference Monday.
The Russian billionaire says the Nets' strategies have not been "not the best way." He promised to be around the team more for now to meet with potential candidates for the jobs.
The Nets made the playoffs the last three years, but are 10-27 entering Monday night's game against San Antonio.
Prokhorov says new leadership is needed in the front office and on the coaching staff.
Prokhorov says assistant general manager Frank Zanin will oversee the front office until King's replacement is hired.
