Nets owners invests in artistic exchange
The owner of the Brooklyn Nets is investing more money in the borough, but this time it's for the arts.
The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) has unveiled a $1 million fund from Mikhail Prokhorov. The funds are for the Transcultural Express for American and Russian Arts, an exchange program where American artists can go to Russia and vice versa.
BAM says it expects to begin the program next year when an African dance group heads abroad.
