New affordable housing development breaks ground
Local leaders broke ground on a new affordable housing development Monday morning. The $80 million project on Junius Street in Brownsville will provide 160 permanent apartments to families and individuals.

Local leaders broke ground on a new affordable housing development Monday morning.
The $80 million project on Junius Street in Brownsville will provide 160 permanent apartments to families and individuals.
The Win Glenmore Project includes a mix of studios and one-, two- or three-bedroom apartments.
Some of the apartments will be reserved for the homeless and for low-income residents, including 96 Section 8 vouchers, according to officials.
They say the goal is to help the chronically homeless and those at risk find and keep permanent apartments.
The project is expected to be completed in about two years.
