The new bus terminal at Canarsie Rockaway Parkway station is now up and running just in time for the new year, and it's already making bus to subway connections smoother for commuters.

Riders are praising the bus terminal, which serves the B6, B42 and B82 following its eight-month renovation.

Commuters will now be able to seamlessly transfer between the buses and L train without leaving the station.

The new bus terminal will also provide some much-needed relief on Rockaway Parkway by taking buses off the street and into the depot.

The upgrades to the bus terminal were just part of phase one of the entire project. Phase two is set to begin Thursday and when it is done, there will be a new station house with a new restroom.
