New York State is attempting to butt in on teen smoking with a new law that prohibits hookah sales to anyone under the age of 18.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) signed the ban, which went into effect with the new year. It also makes the use of shisha and other types of smoking paraphernalia illegal to people underage.
Many say they support the law and any effort to keep drugs out of the hands of young people.
