Thirty percent of Bronx residents are living below the poverty line, according to a new report released today by The Food Bank for New York City.
According to the report, those living below the poverty line increased 1 percent since last year.
The results also show that 41 percent of Bronx residents are having trouble putting food on the table.
And 29 percent of Bronx residents say that when faced with a choice, they've paid their rent instead of paying for food.
The Food Bank for New York City collected information on the hunger rate in all five boroughs for the report.
