New York Institute for Special Education holds annual 'Winter Olympics'

The New York Institute for Special Education held their annual Winter Olympics on Thursday, with over 100 children competing.
The children, who are between three and five years old and have developmental disabilities, competed in sports such as skating, hockey and bowling. They also participated in a paper snowball fight.
Organizers say the event was designed to improve the children's motor skills. Each class selected a country to represent.
Teachers say they enjoyed making the education process fun.
Each child received a medal at the end of the event.
The New York Institute for Special Education is one of the oldest schools in the nation that provides specialized services for children with disabilities.
