The air conditioning of about 10 subway cars goes down each day, according to a report by The New York World.
Since 2010, the most outages occurred in July 2013, the report says. It also found that older subway cars tend to get hotter more often than newer ones.
An MTA spokesman told The New York World that workers continually monitor subway air conditioning during the summer. He added that repair times may vary.
